Nikon D800 is finally here…

Sunday, June 24th, 2012

Its a wonderfully made camera with all the features one can ask, and great image quality. Noise levels I dare to say are beyond my imagination, In most cases its better than D700 or at the same league but with much bigger file that gives the ability to crop if you like. BAtery life is great about 1100 RAW files per charge with moderate LCD usage.

now just few images …

I hope you like them… more to come soon.

Hymettos Mountain on fire and nature reborn.

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

15 – 6 – 2009 fire on Hymettos mountain just over the last buildings at Glyfada / Voula. Almost every year we have to deal with those fires.

Almost a year after we went to photograph the nature reborn. Sad but true, trees need many years to be at same size as before. Still, Spring gives hope with all those flowers and grass.

what is wrong with me … ?

jpeg, DP1 and street shooting.

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

I had to deliver few photos instantly so I was forced to shoot at jpeg mode that time.

And to be honest I never tried it before. All I can say is that its great for fast candid shoots but for best quality Raw is the key as usual.

Jpeg is usable for not so big prints and mail or web usage.

I wish for Raw+Jpeg setting … Sigma are you listening?
